Every cup tells a story...

Keurig launched their first-ever, eponymous coffee selection in late 2025 and everyone had a lot of ideas about what to do.

Sometimes a brand wants to tell you everything, all the time, all at once. This enthusiasm will cripple performance when brought to an audience that hasn’t been told why they should care.

The challenge here was creating a cogent messaging hierarchy that would drive forward the key points in a way that pulled the shopper deeper into a launch that contained appeals to authority, new production technology and an associated value message, detailed provenance and flavor descriptions, and novel packaging that aimed to stand side-by-side with up-market competitors like Nespresso.

The image-making problem was already solved thanks to the well-resourced library of creative GoDutch Agency provided. Production was a non-issue and the visuals were gorgeous.

I knew the beauty of the creative was a powerful hook. Rather than waste space with an “announcement,” I let the one-of-a-kind gold K-cup and flavor profile speak for themselves. Next it was time to tell the audience where it came from. The origin story easily pivots toward the Coffee Collective family. Hit the shopper again with the package design while underlining careful curation; then deliver the value message before it all feels Nespresso priced.

Keurig Coffee Collective debuted on Black Friday, 2025, across the Amazon, Target, Walmart, and Keurig.com platforms as an instant high-performer, garnering the attention of PIX 11 NYC, PR Newsline, and MensGear, among others.
